Maya Susanti (25) raised in Sekayu, a small city in the heart of South Sumatra, Indonesia. She received a BSc of International Relations from Universitas Indonesia in 2014 and obtained an MSc in Media Management from the University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK in 2016. She got a scholarship award from the Government for both her BSc (Local Govt Scholarship + ConocoPhillips Awardee) and MSc (LPDP Awardee). Currently working at the state-owned digital-telco-company, Telkom Indonesia as Human Capital Communication Planner (awarded as the best new employee among 289 others of her fellows), Maya was previously known as TV Presenter and Journalist at the National State Television of the Republic of Indonesia (TVRI) where she was also assigned as assistant producer and presidential journalist (2012-2016).
Prior to her current employment, Maya was the President of Indonesian Student Association for International Studies (ISAFIS) 2012-2013 and was reigned as Miss Tourism Indonesia-South Sumatra in 2012. Maya also granted Cochran Fellow to learn about journalism at the Texas A&M University in 2015 as well as received extensive training for a young journalist from Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development in Malaysia. During her undergraduate life, Maya got her international exposure by joining student exchange program in The Netherlands and Vietnam as well as became Indonesian youth representative for UNFCCC Conference since 2011 in South Africa and continued to Morocco in 2016. Maya grown with lively and loving personality among her family and peers. In her free time, aside from napping a lot, she enjoys reading novels and blogging.
